A Powerful Voice in a Child's Life
Every day in Butte and Glenn Counties there are over 800 children in Foster Care who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment.
Many of these children, ranging in age from infancy to 18 years old, will never return home again. Their only "crime" is that they have been victims, and now they face the possibility of becoming lost in an overburdened system.
These children need advocates to speak up on their behalf. There is a waiting list of children who are in need of just one special person.
"You start out to change a child's life and find you've also changed your own."
~Carol Price, Homemaker, CASA Volunteer
"It's about helping a child replace a life of hurt with one of hope."
~Genora Brimfield, Mental Health Worker, CASA volunteer
